INTERNATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF

YOUTH FOR UNESCO 2022

The National Coordinating Body of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines, Inc. (NCBUCP, Inc.) has been working with the Filipino youth as active players in pursuing advocacy-driven endeavors in local, regional, national and even in the international scale. As it celebrates the 12th founding anniversary as the biggest and largest network of UNESCO Clubs of youth advocates in the country, NCBUCP sustains the annual gathering of youth advocates and young leaders though the International Assembly of Youth for UNESCO (Y4U) on December 9-11, 2022 with the theme: “SDG 14 -Harnessing the Power of Youth as a Global Citizen to Heal our Ocean”

The theme highlights the anchors of leadership that UNESCO Club leaders must possess in their way to make themselves adaptable, resilient, equipped and responsive to the demands and challenges in the new normal and beyond. Y4U 2021 will ignite interests of the youth leaders and youth advocates towards service by keeping them abreast with the current challenges in the global and local context, and casting inspiration from the works and accomplishments of UNESCO clubs and advocates. They will also be engaged in policy development in the convergence sessions to craft national action plans on Education, Science and Technology, Culture, Social and Human Sciences, and Information & Communication. Finally, Y4U participants will also be empowered to strengthen camaraderie and collaboration with the rest of the UNESCO clubs through the various academic and non-academic competitions such as National Debate Cup, Online Quiz Bowl, Spoken Word, Poster Making and Essay Writing
